Obama’s Scholarship For American Moms Program Gives Extra Grant Money To All Women
There is a large number of the women population in America that despite willing to study further, can’t do so. Obama knows that money is often the only obstacle that prevents many women from pursuing their degrees. For this purpose he has initiated a new program designed for mothers of America. Also called “Moms Return to School Scholarship Grant”, this program facilitates women access to education.
The most important aspect of this program is that it is not a loan; funds are non-refundable. You can receive up to $10,000. President Obama’s recent announcement of the stimulus package in these times of recession has come as boon for many single mothers who have been dreaming of getting a second chance going back to college to improve their CV.
The program applies not only for persons who want to study in a campus every day. There are even opportunities for moms to obtain their degrees from the comfort of their computer room and taking care of their kids. You would be surprised at the number of well-known universities that now offer such programs.
Moms can study on campus, in community colleges, junior colleges, universities and private institutions for their degrees. Single moms have the ability now to apply for a vast number of scholarships. Women can use these to pay for direct college fees or other expenses such as daycare while they are in class. Women can also use the money to help with daily living expenses such as food and utilities.
Application to President Obama’s scholarships for moms program is tilted toward Pell grants and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG). Women are now being positioned into more and more leadership roles because of their background and not their appearance.
