The Obama Plan – Scholarship and Grant For Our Moms
The Obama Administration has seen the need to encourage mothers who have left colleges and universities in order to take care of and raise their children. Through the efforts of President Barrack Obama, mothers may now continue and finish their education, this is a step towards achieving their dreams and ambitions.
It is a disappointing fact that mothers who are raising their children on their own or those single mothers, tend to accept any job they may find, whatever it may be or however low their wages might be. This is because they do not stand a chance to acquire a reputable high-paying job since they do not possess the necessary qualifications which is an higher education. Had they finished college and procured a degree, things would be much easier.
A selection of grants and scholarships are offered by our government and of private institutions as well. Depending on ones interest and desire, a mother may apply for any of the scholarships and grants. She may even apply to all that she may stumble upon to ensure that she will really get one. When given the chance to pursue an education a mother will now feel the benefits that carry with it. She will have a chance to get a job and not just a regular low-paying job but a reputable and equally profitable one.
President Obama’s vision of helping mothers and women, of whatever color or race, get the education they deserve is materialized through these scholarships and grants. Mothers should take this chance not only to boost their morale by having a professional career but most importantly to provide for a better life to their children. Through education, lives would be much easier; living standards would be very different; and dreams would come into reality.

Free Scholarships Provided to Single Moms by Obama’s Stimulus Plan
Unfortunately, most of the families that live under the poverty line today are those who are headed by a single mother. Often, the education that they once were eager to pursue, has had to take the back burner, while they settle for a low paying job because that was all the qualifications that they had. This doesn’t have to be anymore. Now, because of President Obama’s dedication to education funding, there is money set aside in the stimulus package for single mothers to receive scholarships to get a higher education.
If you are a single mother who has only dreamed of walking across the stage and receiving your college diploma, you don’t have to dream any longer. These are the simple steps you need to take:
* Decide on a college or university that has the program you would like to study.
* Make an appointment with the financial aid office.
* Take your income documents and tax statements
* Fill out a FAFSA, Free Application for Federal Student Aid
* Fill out any other forms for private grants and scholarships
* Receive you check and start school.
It really is that simple. The scholarship you may receive is around $9,000.00 per year. If you receive other monies, then it will simply add to the money you have for tuition, books and whatever living expenses that you have while you are in school. You may be able to cut your hours or quit work altogether so that you can devote your time to achieving the best grades possible.
The jobs of the future will belong to those with the proper training. And, those are the jobs and professions that will pay you a high enough wage to provide for your family. Don’t wait any longer; you deserve to do this for yourself.
